SUMD UP (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates SumDup.app, a service that provides AI-generated deposition summaries. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
1. Information We Collect
- Personal Information: We collect your email address when you upload a transcript.
- Transcript Data: We collect the transcript file you upload (`.txt` format) to generate a summary.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Service Delivery: We use your email to send you the summary file and your transcript to generate the summary using our AI.
- Communication: We may use your email to respond to support requests if the summarization fails.
3. Data Storage and Deletion
- Transcript Files: We store your transcript and generated summary on our server for 30 days, after which they are deleted, unless you request earlier deletion or longer retention.
- Email Retention: We retain your email in our database indefinitely for record-keeping purposes, unless you request deletion.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not share your personal information or transcript data with third parties, except with Stripe for payment processing (Stripe does not receive your transcript data) and as required by law.
5. Data Security
We use HTTPS to encrypt data in transit and store files securely on our server until deletion. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
